Miliband accused of snubbing the self-employed

Ed Miliband has been criticised for failing to respond to a request to outline how his party intends to support the self-employed .


Lobby group the Association of Independent Professionals and the Self-Employed (IPSE) has published a special edition of its members’ magazine featuring general election pledges from several political parties. While David Cameron, Nick Clegg, Nicola Sturgeon and Nigel Farage all feature, the Labour leader is not included.


Where his message should be is: “Despite repeated requests, Labour leader Ed Miliband decided not to take up IPSE’s offer to outline his views on the UK’s 4.5m self-employed.
