New look, same feel with Practice Manager

If you’re using Practice Manager, tomorrow when you login you may notice that things look a little different. We’ve updated our older pages in Practice Manager to have a consistent look with the rest of Xero. Read on to learn more about what’s changed.

Your new look UI

In June 2014, we released Practice Manager. It introduced accountant specific functionality and a new look and feel to some, but not all parts of WorkflowMax. There were a number of functions that weren’t updated, leading to an inconsistent experience.

Tomorrow we are releasing a major upgrade that will apply the new look and feel across the entire application. This will make the look consistent throughout Practice Manager. Additionally, this provides us with a beautiful and powerful platform for our upcoming releases

Are there any functionality changes?

No. This release doesn’t affect the functionality of Practice Manager in any way. It continues to be the Practice Manager you are familiar with.

However, this facelift is a necessary step for upcoming functionality changes. We have completed lots of work under the hood, making major improvements to the architecture. This means everything is set for all the new exciting stuff we want to be able to do in future.

What’s coming soon?

This release is just the first step in a series of releases we’ve been wanting to do for ages.

This change allows us to update the header to support the new timer, due to be released over the coming months.

Shortly after this will be a new mobile app.  It is going to be a big year for us!

We also have upcoming updates to integrations with Practice Manager and WorkflowMax:

  • An upgraded WorkflowMax Adobe Time tracking extension that integrates with 3 additional Adobe products.
  • Hubspot CRM – WorkflowMax integration (Want early access?)

Thanks for your support and we look forward to bringing you new features in 2015.
